Benefits

During the summer you will have 2 days and one night off per two-week session. You are covered by Worker's Compensation for accidents on the job. Additionally, room and board is provided. Our salaries compare quite well with other camps and include the week of staff orientation.

Training courses are taught at camp during the weekend before orientation. These are entirely paid for by the camp. Other staff training courses are available before orientation in lifeguarding, riflery, archery, canoeing, rock climbing, and horseback, among others. These courses are arranged with individual staff during the hiring process and are also generally covered by camp. For more information click on Certifications.

The greatest single benefit we offer is an opportunity to share Jesus Christ and watch Him change lives for eternity. Second, we feel the impact of friendships formed here and ability to work with other solid Christian staff members is immeasurable. There are also less apparent benefits gained from your work as a camp staff member that can be used on resumes and during interviews. These include opportunities to practice teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, conflict resolution skills, communication skills, and countless chances to be creative and original. Often, our staff find out that they are called to venture into ministries or recreational programs geared toward children.
